Let's Be SELFISH!
To be honest, I don’t read self-help books, well really any nonfiction. However, the cover of Selfish Is a Superpower caught my eye. There was something about the woman pictured on the cover and her infectious laughter pulled me in. Then I saw the title. I couldn’t understand how being selfish was a good thing. Not just a good thing but a superpower. How could that be? I was intrigued. Right from the start, it felt like Dennehy was talking to you. Everything she said, I could find in my own life. I was taught to never put myself first. That was selfish. I never thought that by changing one thing here and one there, I could change not just my life, but the lives of those around me as well! I couldn’t put this book down! Dennehy shared how her life improved by being selfish and how to make mine better by doing the same. Who would have thought being selfish would be a good thing? This book is a MUST-READ! You will be thankful that you did! I have been telling everyone I know they need to read this book! Proud To Be SELFISH
After reading my advanced copy, I have hope again that I really can have it ALL. The author explained that by simply taking time for myself before I begin my day, I can be better to my family, employees, and friends. She also detailed her method for starting each day from a position of power that enabled her to overcome every area of her life. Real Recognize Real
This book is great because it's written from the perspective of a real person, in a real place (Long Island NY), doing real things! It shows that achieving our dreams, as entrepreneurs, is possible. It explains that you don't have to be less of a parent to be more of a success. Balance, getting to know yourself, accepting your ambition, and realizing you can HAVE IT ALL were part of Jessica's evolution. It's brutally honest about kids, marriage, and chasing her dreams of an entrepreneur. It outlines how Jessica juggled it all, sometimes stumbling without using her support system but always recovering and regaining her trajectory in pursuit of success, ultimately leading to a 7-figure successful small business enterprise called MadMen. With an eye towards EVOLUTION, she learned from her mistakes and stayed focused on her best friends and her business acumen which helped her persevere through the pandemic. Her next goal is to become a New York Times Best Seller and I think she has a chance because this book is inspiring. Her "crazy" energized intuition is not just for women either. Yes fellas, you can read this book and learn too! Careful trying the Yoga poses though. Haha Wait til you hear about the Texas Trip and be ready to take notes on her Jessica became an Instagram guru and a brand ambassador! I was honored to receive an advanced review copy of this book and once I started reading it, I could not put it down! It felt like having a conversation with a supportive friend eager to see me make my dreams come true!

Even if you don’t have kids, this book catapults your drive into a new universe. This book was written for the single mom, the single woman, the recovering people pleaser, the young woman in college, and many many more.
